About Luci Fitzpatrick

From an extremely young age, all I ever wanted to do was write for television.

 

I currently live in the midlands but I did my stint, like so many do, in London, studying Television Production at Middlesex University and taking on gigs as a runner on sets and in production offices. I would spend my lunch breaks reading show bibles and asking a hundred questions to anyone I could corner.

Over the years, I improved my skills and widened my writing interests. When I did move to the midlands, I promised myself I'd work twice as hard, knowing there was less industry and less opportunities on my doorstep. 

​

When I wrote a script that was recognised by Stephen Knight, I realised that the work is possible, we just have to find each other to make it happen.

​

I'm dedicated, passionate, excited and eager to bust through the door once someone opens it a tiny bit. Working with a development exec on my optioned pilot was tough and I loved it for that. I care about every word, phrase and sentence, balancing the line between clarity, subtext and mystery. I adore obsessing over making a project the best it can be from all angles.

​

In my day job I am a Product Owner, working with developers, collaborating on details big and small which has only improved my skills as a writer. After all, being able to think about text from an end user's point of view is not too different to choosing the right words for your reader - or watcher - to get the right information you want to give them.

​

I'm open to all projects but particularly interested in writers' rooms, video games and TTRPGs. Let's find each other and create some amazing stories.
